The students will learn about principles of measurement of basic physical quantities in the building. As the majority of the physical quantities are converted to the electrical signals, an overview of measurement of the electrical quantities is also presented. The subject is not intended for students who have already studied the subjects Electrical measurement and Sensors and transducers on CTU FEE.Course outlines:
1. | Measurements in the buildings - overview, basic methods and parameters
2. | Amplifiers, filters
3. | Voltage measurement, lock-in amplifier
4. | Electrical current and frequency measurement
5. | Resistance and impedance measurement
6. | A/D a D/A converters | |
7. | Power and energy consumption measurement
8. | Instruments for measurement and testing: oscilloscope, multimeter, generator, spectral and logic analyzers
9. | Optoelectronic and ultrasound based sensors
10. | Resistance based sensors
11. | Capacitive sensors
12. | Magnetic sensors | |
13. | Solution of examples and tasks, repetition |
Exercises outline:
1. | Oscilloscope, arbitrary generator
2. | Voltage and electrical current measurement
3. | Basic signal processing by OA
4. | Evaluation of signals of resistive sensors
5. | Measurement of impedance, vectorvoltmeter
6. | Measurement of power and energy, static energy meter |
