Anotation:
Students will learn basics of automotive control systems, including mathematical models of vehicle dynamics and standard components. The goal of the
Study targets:
Get familiar with vehicle dynamics representation and gain overview of vehicle system level and component level control strategies.
Course outlines:
- Vehicle dynamics models, kinematic and dynamic models
- Vehicle battery types, Battery management system and modeling
- Vehicle hybrid powertrain modeling and control strategies
- Electric vehicles high voltage systems and powertrain
- Vehicle software development processes
- Longitudinal dynamics low level traction control systems (ABS)
- Longitudinal dynamics high level control systems (Cruise Control and Adaptive Cruise Control)
- Lateral dynamics and vehicle stability control systems (ESP, Torque Vectoring)
- Lateral dynamics high level control systems (Lane Keeping)
