Anotation:

The aim of the course is to gain experience with design, implementation and testing of practical constructions with sensors for biomedical applications and with regard to the needs of students of FEE who will realize the practical final work.

Study targets:

The aim of the course is to gain experience with design, implementation and testing of practical constructions with sensors for biomedical applications and with regard to the needs of students of FEE who will realize the practical final work.

Content:

The course is intended for students of the field of biomedicine. It is focused on the design and implementation of practical constructions that can be used as part of individual projects and final theses. It aims to teach students the basics of practical design and implementation of electronic devices. Selected basic components (diodes, transistors, ...) and the most used circuit blocks (power supply circuits, amplifiers, electrical filters, ...) are presented in the lectures. As part of the exercise, the activity is focused on the implementation of the connection in the form of a printed circuit board design in the KiCad program and the production of the board by photolitography or data export for machine production. Also presented are the most used applications with microcontrollers and a practical demonstration of their programming. During the semester, students work on an individual project, which takes the form of design, implementation, revival, measurement and creation of documentation for the chosen involvement. As part of the exercises, there are also laboratory tasks where there are practical measurements. The course ends with a presentation of the semester's work and there are two credit tests during the semester.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of the function of electronic components, circuits and training in the field of "Safety in electrical engineering" are assumed. Therefore, it is advisable for students who have already completed the subject B2B31EO1 - Electronic Circuits 1 to enroll in this subject. This subject is also not intended for a detailed explanation of the basic principles of sensors, but only for their practical application. Therefore, it is advisable to have completed the subject BAB34BMS - Biomedical sensors.

Keywords:

Electronics, components, practical constructions

Subject is included into these academic programs:
