Anotation:
Humans dominate some the planetary processes and influence them to an extent which may limit their future well-being. Environment is crucial for humans, as it directly influences their health, but also because it influences ecosystem services, which are indispensable for our society.
The most advanced methods for assessment of environmental impacts of products and societies are life cycle assessment and input-output analysis, which will be discussed within this course.
Study targets:
To make students familiar with regional and global environmental problems and with tools for environmental impact assessment of products.
