Main principles of ventilation and air conditioning. Source materials for design of systems. Natural ventilation, forced ventilation, air conditioning systems - output (capacity)and operation.Study targets:
Needed knowledge for conceptual design and control of ventilation and air conditioning systems in buildings.Course outlines:
Indoor thermal environment, quality of air. Thermal load of ventilated and air conditioned rooms. Moist air, treatment of moist air. Aerodynamics of ventilation (stream of air in room, in air ducts, fans). Basic of air filtration. Natural ventilation. Local exhaustion. Total forced ventilation. All-air conditioning system.Exercises outline:
