Invitation to the habilitation lecture of Dr. Gil Dantas
On Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 13:00, the habilitation lecture of MSc. Sheldon Miriel Gil Dantas, Ph.D., on Banach spaces theory. The lecture will be held in English in the presence of the Scientific Council of the FEE CTU in room T2:D3-209. The online broadcast of the habilitation lecture will be available via YouTube.
CTU FEE and Military University Hospital Prague Organize Blood Donation – Donate and help others!

Until 2023, he served as Director General of Czech Television, but in the past, he was also the head of TV Nova and worked for the investment group PPF. While he didn’t stay in the field of engineering, Petr Dvořák says the foundation of his success was built at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU. In this interview, he reflects on his student days just before the Velvet Revolution and explains how a technical education helped him navigate the often turbulent world of media. He also shares how he and his classmates from FEE CTU started a band and what advice he would give to students today.
500 successful operations that change the lives of children with epilepsy. Algorithms developed by scientists from the FEE CTU help doctors at the Motol University Hospital
Motol University Hospital has achieved a significant milestone in the treatment of childhood epilepsy. A team of specialists performed the 500th pediatric epilepsy surgery here. To determine for which patient the operation represents the most effective treatment and where the seizures originate, the medical team is assisted by algorithms developed by scientists from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University. The achievements to date were presented by the team of specialists at a press conference held on Thursday 26 March 2025 at the Motol Hospital on the occasion of Purple Day, International Epilepsy Day.

Career Days 2025: Six thousand students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of CTU will meet with 70 employers
On 8 and 9 April 2025, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague will hold the traditional Career Days, which offer students a unique opportunity to meet potential employers and gain valuable contacts for their future careers. This will be the only opportunity for companies to meet students directly at the premises of both faculties this year.
Bohdan Zronek from ČEZ at Physics Thursday: Nuclear energy as an opportunity
Could nuclear power plants be an opportunity for energy self-sufficiency and to kick-start the economy on the path to low-carbon energy? Ing. Bohdan Zronek, Director of the Nuclear Energy Division and member of the Board of Directors of ČEZ and also a graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University, knows the answer. He will give a lecture on this topic on 17 April at the Physics Thursday.
Students received prizes for their works at the Semestrale exhibition
The best works created in the winter semester in the Graphic Design and 3D Modelling courses were awarded at the Department
of Computer Graphics and Interaction of the FEE CTU FELU. The prizes were presented on Tuesday, 18 March, by the academic
painter Lucie Svobodová, who teaches Graphic Design, and the head of the department, Professor Jiří Žára. At the same time,
they opened the exhibition of the works of SEMESTRALE XXVI, which can be seen in the department's corridors on the 3rd floor
of building E on Charles Square.
Artificial intelligence as a key tool for future leaders. CTU launches new micro-certification course for managers
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FEE CTU) and the Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies CTU (MUS CTU) in cooperation with the organization prg.ai launches a new course called "AI Mastery for Business Leaders". The four-day intensive program is designed for company leaders and HR specialists who want to gain a deeper understanding and practical experience in the use of AI in the corporate sphere. The course will take place in Prague from 26 to 29 May 2025 and ends with a micro-certificate.
Werner von Siemens Prizes: eight out of twenty awards go to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FEL CTU) confirmed its excellence in scientific research and education when its students and academic staff achieved excellent results in the prestigious Werner von Siemens Prize 2024. This prestigious programme recognises the best scientific and technical work by students and young scientists in the Czech Republic.
51. Meeting with music: Clarinetist Anna Paulová accompanied by pianist Martin Kasík
At the 51st Meeting with Music, which will take place on Monday 24 March 2025 at 6:30 pm in the Zenger Auditorium of the FEE CTU, visitors will hear Anna Paulová, the winner of the Jiří Bělohlávek Prize. The prize is awarded to young Czech artists under the age of thirty who have achieved extraordinary success in their field and who are nurturing the tradition of music at home and abroad. The award-winning pianist Martin Kasík, who is one of the most prominent personalities of the Czech music scene, will perform with her.

CTU competes among the top ten universities in the Amazon Nova AI Challenge
The Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) has been selected as one of ten universities from around the world to participate in the prestigious Amazon Nova AI Challenge. This global university competition focuses on the development of safe and reliable artificial intelligence (AI) for assisted software development. The AlquistCoder team from CTU consists of staff and students from the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

The team of FEE CTU and Fly4Future will fight fot the title in the "Champions League" of autonomous drones in Abu Dhabi
The team of the Multi-robot Systems Group (MRS) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague and Fly4Future successfully qualified for the prestigious Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) finals in Abu Dhabi. The technologically advanced autonomous drone race, organized by ASPIRE and the Drone Champions League, is one of the world's largest competitions of its kind: its winners will share a total prize of US$1 million. The Czech roboticists and 13 other teams made it to the finals through a tough qualifying process that attracted 210 teams from around the world.
