Career Days 2026: Six thousand students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at CTU will meet with ninety employers
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague are organizing their traditional Career Days, which will offer students a unique opportunity to meet potential employers and gain valuable contacts for their future careers. The event will take place on March 31 and April 1, 2026, on the campuses of both faculties in Dejvice, with approximately 3,500 students from the CTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering and 2,500 students from the CTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering participating.
Researchers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU contributed to a study in Nature Communications: Children’s brains adapt to a missing limb from an early age
An international team of scientists has published a study in the prestigious journal Nature Communications showing that the brains of children born with an upper limb difference undergo significant reorganisation from an early age. Scientists from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (FEE CTU) also participated in the research, developing a computational model explaining the mechanism behind these changes.
Data from space as a business: FEE graduate Michal Reinštein develops AI that analyzes satellite data
Today, satellites take a huge number of images of Earth every day. Startup SpaceKnow uses artificial intelligence and computer vision methods to turn them into practical information for companies, investors, and government institutions—for example, about industrial activity, infrastructure changes, and the movement of goods. One of the people behind the development of these technologies is Ing. Michal Reinštein, Ph.D., a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, who works as Chief Scientist at the company. In this interview, he describes his journey from studying air traffic control to robotics to satellite data analysis and explains how academic research is now linked to technology startups.
Dean's Award for Outstanding Dissertation Thesis
The Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU in Prague awarded the Dean's Prize for outstanding dissertation work to the following doctoral graduates:
CTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering Graduates Succeed in the Werner von Siemens Awards. Awards Recognize Research on Safe Human–Robot Collaboration
Two awards in this year’s Werner von Siemens Awards 2025 were received by graduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (FEE CTU). In the category Best Doctoral Thesis in Industry 4.0, the award was presented to Ing. Jakub Rozlivek, Ph.D., while the award for Best Master’s Thesis in this field was granted to Ing. Elizaveta Isianova. Both works were carried out at FEE CTU and the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at CTU (CIIRC CTU) under the supervision of experts in robotics and artificial intelligence and focus on enabling robots to collaborate with humans in a safer and more intelligent way.
FEE CTU participates in three strategic projects supported by TA CR
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) is significantly involved in three projects that were successful in the 13th public competition of the SIGMA program (Sub-goal 5) of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. As part of these projects, research teams from FEE CTU will develop artificial intelligence applications, digital transport models, and advanced technologies for the semiconductor industry.
Experts from several departments of the faculty are involved in the projects, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, telecommunications technologies, and semiconductor physics.
What is like to be a women or a girl at FEE CTU? Share your experiences with the dean and ombudswoman
One in six students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague is a women/girl. What is it like for women and girls to study in a predominantly male environment? And what would they need to make the atmosphere more welcoming for them? Come to a meeting with Dean Prof. Petr Páta and Ombudswoman Dr. Zuzana Labudová on April 16.
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU will present cutting-edge technologies and its student Formula team at the AMPER 2026 trade fair
In 2026, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University (CTU) will once again be represented at the largest international trade fair for electrical engineering, automation, communication, and security in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At AMPER 2026, taking place from March 17–19, 2026, at the Brno Exhibition Centre, faculty representatives will present selected technological solutions and demonstrators in the fields of autonomous systems, measurement and sensor technology, cybersecurity, and electric mobility.
The CTU FEE exhibition will offer visitors an overview of the faculty’s research and educational activities – from advanced autonomous platforms and safety sensors to modern approaches to laboratory teaching and the electric race car of the student team eForce Prague Formula, which has long represented CTU in international Formula Student competitions.
From bachelor's thesis to global conference: FEE CTU student develops tool for visualising the behaviour of artificial intelligence agents
Bc. Erol Medenčević, a first-year student in the Open Informatics master's programme at FEE CTU, was successful with his thesis on the visualisation of artificial intelligence agent behaviour at the AAAI (Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence) international conference, which took place from 20 to 27 January 2026 in Singapore. The resulting PANSim project was presented as part of the demo track of this prestigious conference, which is one of the highest-rated in the field of artificial intelligence.
Scholarships for talented applicants to the prg.ai Master program
Artificial Intelligence Center (AIC) and the Visual Recognition Group (VRG) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague offer scholarships for talented future students of the prg.ai Master program.
Lecture by Sonia Martin from Stanford: Integrating Electromobility into Modern Energy Systems
The LIMESS research group invites you to a lecture entitled Integration of Electromobility into Modern Energy Systems, which will take place on Wednesday, March 11, at 9:15 a.m. at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. It will be presented by Sonia Martin from Stanford University. She is currently collaborating with the group on a project evaluating the suitability of using bidirectional chargers according to location, which are key to providing energy flexibility and thus increasing grid stability.
Students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague have developed a smart bee scale. It can determine the most suitable time for honey extraction
How can beekeepers quickly, cheaply and effectively determine the best time to harvest honey? This is determined by so-called bee scales, which cost between five and twenty thousand Czech crowns on the market. Two students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague decided to make this technology cheaper and more accessible. As part of the Make-iton incubation programme, they built a prototype and will now look for investors.
The IMEKO TC4 2026 conference is held at FEE CTU. Metrology experts can submit not only full papers for the proceedings, but also just abstracts
The 27th annual IMEKO (International Measurement Confederation) international conference will take place from September 16 to 18, 2026, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. Registration for contributions is open until March 31, 2026. Participants can take advantage of early bird registration.
