Conditions for Admission to the Bachelor’s and Master's Degree Study Programs in English at CTU FEE for the Academic Year 2023/2024

  1. Admissions to study programs in English:

    1. Admission of Applicants to study programs in English for the Academic Year 2023/2024 is governed by these Conditions; they are in compliance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., Higher Education Act, as amended, and the Statute of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Electrical Engineering (CTU FEE).
    2. The admission procedure is managed by the Admission Committee of each study program appointed by the Dean.
  2. The admission conditions:

    1. Complete the submission no later than April 30, 2023 (see Section 3).
    2. Pass the Applicant assessment process (see Section 4).
    3. Prove English proficiency. The knowledge of English is assessed by the admission committee.
    4. The Applicant to Bachelor's study program must complete and provide a certificate of completion of the Secondary/High School Education by the time of enrolment.
    5. The Applicant to the Master's study program must complete and provide a certificate of completion of the Bachelor level Education by the time of enrolment.
  3. How to apply:

    The Applicant applies to the study programs in English by completing the following three steps no later than April 30, 2023:

    1. Fill out and submit an electronic application form at the portal https://www.prihlaska.cvut.cz.
    2. Pay the admission processing fee (850 CZK) through the portal https://prihlaska.cvut.cz/apps/kos/prihlaska/ or transfer to the bank account of CTU FEE. All bank charges are paid by the Applicant.
    3. Deliver all documents required for admission:
      • Certificate of academic achievement.
      • A certificate of English proficiency unless the Applicant is a native English speaker.
      • A Letter of Motivation.
      • Optionally, the Applicant is encouraged to submit documents proving significant personal achievements or professional or academic excellence in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.

    All documents not in Czech, Slovak, or English should be accompanied by a certified translation into Czech or English. A photocopy of the translation should be sent by post or e-mail, and the original should be presented by the time of enrolment into the CTU FEE study programs.

  4. Applicant assessment process

    The assessment consists of an online interview and an optional test if the Admission Committee decides to request it. The scope, topics, and time of the admission interview (and test if required) will be sent to the Applicant by e-mail upon completing the submission step.

  5. Concluding remarks
    1. Data filled in the https://www.prihlaska.cvut.cz and application attachments must be accurate and complete. False or incomplete data can result in rejection of the application during the admission procedure or by possible exclusion from the studies later on if discovered after the registration into the study programme.
    2. By the end of the first semester of Master’s studies, students must complete the process of official recognition of their Bachelor's degree by the Czech Republic (nostrification). The process requires more documents than required by this admission procedure. Applicants are urged to obtain all the necessary documents before arriving in the Czech Republic.
    3. In the case of external objective circumstances, CTU FEE may amend the terms set out in these Conditions. In such a case, CTU FEE will publish the change on the FEE’s public web page and inform by e-mail all applicants who have already applied.
