Anotation:
The course focuses on basic knowledge of educational phenomena, processes, laws, principles, categories, and theories that form the basis of pedagogical thinking. Education and training will be discussed in the context of pedagogical sciences in connection with changes in the Czech education system over the past twenty years, namely in relation to curricular reform, diversification of the system, alternative educational concepts, and changes in vocational education.
Study targets:
The aim of the course is to provide students with up-to-date knowledge about developments in educational science and to apply modern educational principles to various professional and socio-cultural environments. The course will familiarize students with the educational process, laws, principles, categories, and fundamental theories of education. Students will gain knowledge in the field of general pedagogy and the development of pedagogical disciplines and will be able to use relevant terminology. Students will be introduced to curricular reform in the Czech Republic, the diversification of the education system, and changes in vocational education in the European context. The general objective of the course is to motivate students to pursue a career as a teacher, education methodologist, or continuing education lecturer. They follow the content of lectures and apply it to the methodology of teaching given topics, including practicing micro-presentations.

Credit - prepare a presentation on a selected educational topic in groups.
