CTU FEE Grant: PhD Study with a Distinguished External Co-Supervisor

to support high quality doctoral supervision and to establish a relationship with an expert with a potential to improve research quality of the PhD student as well as the department.

Eligible:

  • students applying for PhD study,
  • 1st and early 2nd year PhD students.

Requirements:

  • excellent results during master study, with a high quality thesis, if applicable, excellent performance and/or activities during the first year of the PhD study,
  • supported branches of study: Electrical machines, devices and drives; Power engineering; Economics of energy and electrical engineering within PhD Study Programmes:
    P0488D050001 Ekonomika energetiky a elektrotechniky,

    P0488D050002 Economics of Energy and Electrical Engineering,
    P0714D060003 Elektrotechnika a komunikace - pouze specializace Výkonové systémy a elektroenergetika,
    P0714D060004 Electrical Engineering and communication - specialization Electrical Power Engineering only.

Benefits:

  • a foreign co-supervisor, who is a distinguished scientist,
  • scholarship 30,000* CZK/month for the standard period of study in full-time form,
  • support of visits (travel and accommodation, up to 200 thousand CZK/year in total):
    i) the doctoral student to co-supervisor’s workplace (4x a week/year),
    ii
    ) co-supervisor to FEE (1-2x visits/year).

Applications are evaluated continuously (typically within 4 weeks).

An annual report shall be submitted every year after the award of the grant.

* Scholarships above this amount are not eligible.
